A couple named Mara and Elo tie the knot in the Philippines. Elo is a little person, while Mara is not. The things these two say to each other literally had me in tears. Elo says, “You know, I had a lot of questions for God. Why? Why me? I didn’t get the answers then, but now that you’re in front of me, I realize that you are the answer to all of my questions…to all my prayers… and much, much more.” Mara’s vows are just as touching, at one part saying, “My arms and legs are made to be the extension of yours.” It’s so beautiful.

It’s also okay to have unfulfilled longings… Every person has a deep inner longing that cannot be filled her on earth that cannot be filled by any created thing.
I can stil thank God and surrender to him afresh realizing that this unfullied longing is material for sacrifice.
With that moment of testiness that moment of longing comes an opportunity for a fresh surrender a fresh chance to say God I trust you
Nothing in this world is a requirement for my present happiness or fulfillment
Don’t make it an idol
Choose to pursue intimacy with Christ and allow him to meet unmet expections
